The fourth seal is opened, and the fourth creature calls, "Come!" The fourth horse comes and is a pale horse in color. The horse is the color of a corpse, and we do not have to interpret its rider. It is death! Famine and death always follow war. A fourth of the earth is involved, and hunger, and the sword, and wild beasts bring in death. Notice also the terrible companion that follows the pale horse. It is Hades, the abode of the lost souls who die during this awful time. These who die at this time will be unbelievers, going to a place of torment.
