The last seal is opened and there is an awed silence that lasts for a half hour. There is no sound in heaven as the heavenly host waits in suspense for the next event. The Seventh Seal closes the judgments of the Seals and opens the judgments of the Trumpets. Seven angels are seen standing in heaven and they are given seven trumpets. Another angel is given a golden censer, which he fills with fire from the altar and casts it upon the earth. The silence is broken as there are voices and thunderclaps and lightning and an earthquake. The seven angels now prepare to sound their trumpets of judgment.
