Revelation 20, 21, & 22
Three angelic messengers now appear on the scene. Each one has a proclamation for the residents of the earth. The first angel declares the everlasting gospel, and that the hour of judgment is come. The second angel foretells that Babylon is fallen. Babylon is the Antichrist's political and commercial empire. Commercial Babylon's destruction is described in Chapter 18. The third angel proclaims a solemn warning to anyone who worships the beast, or his image, or receives his mark. They will never be saved from God's wrath, and will be tormented forever and ever. This horrible declaration should remind us, that today in the age of God's grace, we still have the opportunity to escape God's judgment for sin. God, in His love, sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on a cross to pay the price of our sin. He died there in our place, as our substitute. He only asks that we put our faith in what Christ did for us on that cross, to assure us a home in heaven. How foolish to reject such a gracious offer. God is telling us that we have been warned. Please don't make the eternal mistake of ignoring His warning, and rejecting His love.
